the fun part about writing long, academic papers is that by the time you get around to editing, you’ve forgotten what you wrote and can objectively correct your own work.

As an English major, I can’t begin to guess how often I’ve spelled both “Emerson” and “language;” none of those times include a correct spelling of either word upon first attempt, however.
